On a morning steeped in sorrow and reflection, the Chief Executive Officer of Meridian Port Services Ltd. (MPS), Mr. Mohamed Samara, together with the MPS management team, Mr. Frank Ebo Brown, Mr. Emmanuel Ohene Addo, and Mrs. Julia Acquah, and Mr. Emmanuel Doni-Kwame, the Secretary General of ICC Ghana, visited the memorial site to lay flowers in honour of Ghana’s fallen gallants.
This solemn tribute followed the devastating helicopter crash that claimed the lives of the Honourable Minister of Defence, the Honourable Minister of Environment, and several other senior government officials and personnel. These dedicated individuals served Ghana with unwavering devotion, shaping the nation’s future and safeguarding its people.

As the delegation placed their floral wreaths and bowed their heads in silence, a profound sense of collective mourning filled the air — not only for the lives lost, but for the promise, vision, and service they embodied.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families, with H.E. the President, and with all Ghanaians. May their legacy of service and dedication continue to inspire us,” said Mr. Samara.

While signing the condolence book at the Ministry of Defence, Mr. Samara expressed acceptance of God’s will in the face of loss, affirming that eternity belongs to God, and quoting: “Indeed, we belong to God, and indeed, to Him we shall return.”

In paying tribute to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, during this time of intense national sorrow, the CEO of MPS affirmed that the company’s shareholders deeply appreciate the strength, compassion, and leadership His Excellency continues to demonstrate in guiding the nation through this difficult period. His Excellency’s resolve and empathy stand as a testament to the unity and resilience of the Ghanaian people.

In moments such as these, the bonds of a nation are felt most deeply. The shareholders, directors, management, and employees of MPS stand shoulder to shoulder with the Government and people of Ghana, sharing in their grief and honouring the courage, sacrifice, and service of the departed.
