Completion of Maintenance Dredging & Full Restoration of Berth Depths

Dear Valued Stakeholders,

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the maintenance dredging at MPS Terminal 3, which commenced on September 24. This operation has fully restored the original dredged depth of -16.90m Chart Datum across all berths, as confirmed by a recent bathymetric survey.

With this restoration, the 12.5m draft restriction on Berth 20 has been lifted, and we are now able to accommodate vessels with drafts of up to 16m across all four berths at the terminal.

Additionally, to mitigate sediment movement from the beach adjacent to Berth 20, we have constructed a 330m revetment and groin. This structure significantly reduces the risk of sudden silt or mud avalanches entering the harbour basin, helping to prevent future draft restrictions.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation throughout this process and thank you for your continued support.

Best Regards,

Mohamed Samara
Chief Executive Officer
Meridian Port Services Ltd.
